POSITION: HR & Admin Intern

WHERE: Reach for Change, Sweden/ Denmark or Remotely 

COMMITMENT: Part-time/full-time 3-6 months

DURATION: February 2022- May/June 2022

Who we are

Reach for Change is an international non-profit organization with the mission to unleash the power of innovation and entrepreneurship to create a better world for women, children and youth. We find and support local, early-stage social entrepreneurs to scale their innovations and solve the most pressing issues faced by children. Our core product is developing programs for social entrepreneurs, in which the entrepreneurs are supported to scale their innovations through capacity building, networks and funding. Being co-created by successful entrepreneurs in the non-profit and the business sector in 2010 in Sweden, we have a portfolio of 600+ social entrepreneurs in 18 countries across three continents (Africa, Central Asia and Europe) who, together with us, have positively impacted more than 4 million children’s lives to date. Who you are

A student: We expect you to be a student either at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level and connected to a university where the internship is part of your education plan. The position is unpaid and therefore it is important to us that you are receiving funds from a third party (SU/CSN/Erasmus Stipendium or another source of student support). 

Passionate: Have a strong passion when it comes to the end goal of improving the world for children, youth, and social entrepreneurship, and are interested in working in a remote and international team with diverse cultures.

Brave: As a person, you are brave, thorough, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You don’t hesitate to take initiative, are proactive, and enjoy having different tasks and projects. You don't hesitate to ask questions, learn and be curious. That is what creates opportunities for new ideas.

Smart: You care about the quality of your work and you have an entrepreneurial problem-solving go-getter mindset. Knowledge within the development of IT tools and Graphic design is preferable and good proficiency in English is required – since it is the language we use for most of our intern communication.

What we can offer

An exciting and educational internship where you become part of an international, dynamic, and creative work environment. During your internship, you will gain insight and knowledge of how a global non-profit organization is structured and functions in practice. With a focus on the HR framework, you will take part in the procedures regarding recruitment, employment, onboarding, learning & development, success and retention planning as well as organizational and strategic team development and recognition. With the necessary support, you will be given the opportunity to take ownership of your own tasks and projects and gain practical experience in project management and self-leadership. We highly value our interns for their skills and the energy they bring to our team and can offer a great opportunity for you to develop your workplace skills and gain confidence.

During your internship

You will be working directly with the HR Team providing support  with different and engaging day-to-day tasks, administration, coordination, facilitation and the development of our key HR tools. You will have the opportunity to combine your work with projects and varying tasks, such as qualitative and quantitative data collection, research, analysis, surveys, presentations, always with sparring from us. 

A typical working day is between 9 and 17, but working hours are flexible and can be done remotely. Minimum every other week you will have a check-in with your supervisor, where your work tasks and development are being followed upon.
