COMMITMENT: Full time
DURATION: 2 years fixed term contract, with 6 months probation
REMUNERATION: Basic salary of between USD 3800 to 4000 monthly equivalent in
ETB based on experience.

Position Summary
As Program & Impact Lead for Reach for Change Ethiopia, you are part of a smart, brave and passionate team reporting directly to the Country Manager, Ethiopia
The Program & Impact Lead will be working with our projects in Ethiopia, with the support of global support functions, such as the Central Program & Impact Team as well as the Fundraising & Partnership team to design and deliver high quality programs. S/he will also be responsible for the strategic planning, development and implementation of Programs, Impact Management and Measurement system for projects in Ethiopia in line with Reach for Change’s 2030 strategic plan, the impact framework and donor requirements.
Part of the responsibility is to ensure that learnings from projects are systematically captured and used at all levels by taking the learning needs into account. Moreover, s/he will be developing the capacity of the local project and impact team as well as other relevant staff.
The Program and Impact Lead is expected to have a high level of self-initiative and use strategic and critical thinking skills to identify and fill gaps in the proposal development processes, and overall program and impact management.
Your overall main responsibilities includes:
Proposal Development and Design
Define and develop annual program plans and objectives, ensuring alignment with Reach for Change’s 2030 strategy.
Stay updated / Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for new programs or enhancements for existing programs.
Program Implementation and Management:
Develop and review program plans, budgets, and timelines.
Oversee the implementation of programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards from donor and the organization
Monitor program performance, track key indicators, and identify areas for improvement.
Set standards, timelines for internal reports and ensure that required data is gathered in a timely manner and with high quality on global indicators, total direct and indirect reach data.
Manage program resources, including personnel, finances, and materials.
Impact Measurement & Management- IMM or MERL
Ensure IMM/MERL becomes an integral element of proposal development and project implementation
Ensure external accountability to donors through the implementation of timely and quality IMM activities leading to timely and accurate reporting
Oversee the development or adaptations of tools for data gathering and utilized for decision making and reporting purposes
Oversee research and evaluation to assess program effectiveness and impact.
Use data to inform program planning and decision-making.
Share knowledge internally across functions and markets contributing to RfC continued development as a learning organization
Compliance, Quality Assurance and Improvement:
Ensure that programs are of high quality and meet the needs of the target population.
Identify, implement and/or support quality improvement initiatives
Ensure technical support is provided in the preparation of periodic reports for donor, government or other stakeholders
Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in impact and program development/management, identify and mitigate program risks
Ensure IMM related donor, government and other key stakeholders compliance are understood and addressed accordingly
Financial Management:
Ensure quality development, management and tracking of budget periodically and consistently
Ensure financial accountability and compliance within the program team inline with RfC Financial policy and procedures
Conduct monthly project review meeting jointly with the relevant local and global team
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and motivate program teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Build a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and developing staff.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment building into the sense of ‘One Reach for Change’
Lead the local Program & Impact team and create cohesion between team members working in different geographic areas.
Responsible for the wellbeing and performance of the local program and impact team
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, donors, and ecosystem payers.
Communicate program progress and outcomes effectively to internal and external stakeholders
Represent RfC and its programs at relevant external audiences to enhance collaboration, best practices sharing and maintaining RfC’s role as a thought leader within the ecosystem

Education & experience:
We expect you to tick of of most of the below:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience from similar positions in international organization.
A university degree in a relevant field.
Experience from work within the philanthropic/non-profit or business sector.
Experience in being part of complex proposal development processes including development of Theory of Change, log frames and Impact Frameworks for applications to a wide range of donors (primarily institutions and foundations).
Experience in overseeing development of logframes and project budgets, for example through coordination of inputs from relevant colleagues.
Experienced user of Microsoft Office/Google Suite and ability to quickly understand and use web based applications and platforms.
