Culture & Values
Our Values
-
Smart
We embrace innovation and are open to learning. We are business-savvy and results-driven and we look for the simplest way to achieve the biggest impact.
-
Brave
We see potential where others don’t. We bet on untried ideas because that is where innovation happens. We would rather fail than do nothing at all.
-
Passionate
We are obsessed with creating a better world for children and youth and we will do whatever it takes to succeed. We know that we can’t change the world alone, which is why we invite passionate partners and social entrepreneurs to join us in our work.
Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
At Reach for Change, creating an environment that celebrates and actively promotes diversity, inclusion and a sense of belonging in the workplace is of high priority.
Our commitment is led by our Diversity, Inclusion and Sense of Belonging (DIB) Advocates who come from all levels of the organization. The DIB Advocates together make up a committee, which is responsible for ensuring that our policy is articulated in the day to day operations and in the strategic direction of Reach for Change.
Their task is to:
Collect and share knowledge on how to navigate differences, avoid biases and change mindsets
Create awareness and better understanding of diversity, inclusion and sense of belonging at Reach for Change
Advocate for and help implement the measures for promoting diversity, inclusion and sense of belonging in day to day operations and in the strategic direction of Reach for Change.
Our DIB definitions at Reach for Change are:
-
Diversity
A state where people come from different backgrounds, such as ethnicity, race, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial status and more.
-
Inclusion
An action of creating opportunity and fairness, being aware of and welcoming what makes us diverse.
-
Belonging
A feeling that you are part of a community and free to be uniquely you.
